PaycheckNew is built and maintained by Hadi, developer and maintainer. One person reads everything sent here, so a specific message gets a faster and more useful answer than a general one.
Email [email protected]. The source code is public at github.com/Itsxhadi, so a correction can also arrive as an issue or a pull request against the rate table itself.
Reporting a figure that looks wrong
This is the most useful message anyone sends. All 51 jurisdictions are transcribed from published schedules by hand, and hand-transcribed tables contain mistakes: several have been found and fixed here already, including one that had a state a full year out of date and one that overcharged every married couple in a state by a flat amount. Include as much of the following as you have.
The state and the tax year. Figures for 2025 state schedules and 2026 federal tables sit side by side on this site, and most disagreements turn out to be about which year is being compared.
The exact inputs. Salary or hourly rate, filing status, pay frequency, and anything entered under deductions. A figure cannot be reproduced without them.
The figure you expected, and where it came from. A link to the IRS release or the state department of revenue page carries far more weight than another calculator, which may be wrong in its own way.
A screenshot, if the page looks broken. For layout or accessibility problems, the browser and screen width help more than a description.
What happens to a report
It gets checked against the source you cite, not against this site. If the department's own document disagrees with the table here, the table is wrong. That has happened eight times so far.
It is fixed in the rate table, never on the page. Every figure on every page is computed from one table, so a correction propagates everywhere at once rather than leaving stale copies behind.
A test is added so it cannot come back. Where the department prints a figure, that figure becomes an assertion that runs before the site is allowed to build.
It is published with before-and-after numbers. Confirmed corrections go on the corrections page with the date and both figures, so the record is public rather than quietly patched.
The record of that is on the corrections page, and the method behind every figure is set out under about and methodology.
What cannot be answered here
Anything about your own return, refund, withholding or circumstances. This is a calculator, not a tax practice, and nobody here is a CPA or an enrolled agent. For those questions the people who can actually help are a CPA, an enrolled agent, or the IRS directly on 800-829-1040. Nothing sent here creates an adviser relationship, and the disclaimer sets that out in full.
One more thing worth saying plainly: nobody from PaycheckNew will ever contact you first, ask for your Social Security number or bank details, or send you a cheque. If someone has done that in this site's name, they are not connected to it. The trust and safety page explains what to do.
